Some anecdotal Prime Day results from conversations with assorted brands and agencies:
Amazon reporting +13% overall, 200 million units sold.
Anecdotal results:
Brands that ran a lead in promotion - sales results > 70% over LY with many claiming increases > 100%
Brands that did not run a lead in promotion and focused purely on Prime Day - sales results > 30% over LY
Brands that did nothing - sales ranged from mid-single digit decreases to mid-single digit increases
Again, these numbers are purely anecdotal and gleaned from conversations numerous brands and agencies.
We ran lead in promotions and finished up 112% over LY. We’re currently running a few follow up promotions including retartgeting people who have items in their shopping carts. Early results are positive.
